LANGLEY FIELD NATURALISTS "to know nature and to keep it worth knowing" |
| Education The
Langley Field Naturalists work to increase nature knowledge both within
the Society and within the community. Here are some of the ways
we attempt to do this:
Programs: Our monthly meetings have excellent speakers who come and give nature slide shows or powerpoint presentations. Field Trips: Our field trips and walks offer beginning naturalists a chance to learn from experienced naturalists. Publications: Our publications educate readers about local birds and native plants. Library: We have our own library of nature books that members may borrow. Displays: We have interactive educational displays at our booth at Country Celebration, Rivers Day and Arbour Day in Langley. Young Naturalists' Club: We have a Young Naturalists' Club (YNC Nicomekl) for children aged 5 to 14. For more information, go to www.ync.ca |
